THE CONFESSIONS OF A HOUSEWIFE PROSTITUTE

He  knocks on the door, and she knows to let him in.  Three short  consecutive taps...followed by a loud forth, was the noted, prearranged  code. Renting a hotel room, she sees just a few Johns in a day.   She is  a housewife, whose husband, pimps her out.  It began when he lost his  well-paying, high-powered job.  The house rent was due, and it was easy  money, he told her.  They had a daughter in college, bills to pay, and  she agreed, only till another job came his way. 

 She  was pretty, dressed classy, and the money was good.  Her husband  stopped looking for a job, (which was no surprise to me), and she kept working in the sex industry.  He  liked the arrangement, and his free time.  Easy money.  Easy.  Very,  very easy money.  

I counseled Mrs. Jane Doe, the house wife prostitute, for  quite some time.  I liked her.  She was sweet, kind, and gentle.  She  wanted to talk, and I listened.  She needed that.  Those who are weak  and broken, seek a friend upon whom they can depend.  I had God, she had  me.  She wasn't ready to talk to God, in prayer.  That came latter.   Much latter.  Right now she needed a friend, and in turn I wanted to be  one.

Time  drew on, and her sins found her out, when her young and vivacious,   teen-aged daughter opened her mother's car trunk looking for a lost  item.  There the evidence laid.  Her trusting eyes widened as she viewed various  scented candles, a glamorous gown, and abundant lingerie.  

Confused, she asked her  mother, "What's that stuff in your car's trunk for?"  Evidence won out,  and Jane confessed her true story. 

"Does Dad know about this?" 

"Yes, it was all his idea."  

"Why Mom?  Why would you do such a thing?"

"We needed the money, and your father convinced me...I had no choice." 

"You had a choice Mom...you could have refused!"

"I did it for you too, I wanted to make sure you had the funds to finish college."

"I'd rather live in poverty and do without, then to have my Mother sell her body out!"

soon after her confession Jane's  family and marriage, fell apart.  Sin is always fun for a season, but  now the season was cold and ugly.  In time, Jane began to read her bible  and talk to God in prayer.  As she  learned more about His grace, mercy, and  love, she accepted Him as Lord, Savior, and Friend.  

Life wasn't easy for  Jane.  Things got worst before they got better.  Much, much, worst.  The  details of which are too private to divulge.  We  had lunch one day and Jane related, she had gained weight, felt  unattractive and low.  She had remarried, and felt her best years were  over.  Those were the years she was still young and pretty, she said.   Still hooked on her worth being related to her looks.  Such self esteem -  issues are common for those who have worked in the sex industry.   "Objects...that's all we really are, is a sexual object to be used and  abused," she would often confide. 

I  reminded Jane of her self worth in God's eyes.  "Before you were born, He  knew you.  He created you in the womb of your mother for such a time as  this, and reasons beyond your wildest minds imagination." - (Jeremiah  1:5; Psalm 139:13-16).  She smiled, ever so broadly.  I smiled back.   She knew me well, and knew I had many more God inspired quotes I could  refer her back to, confirming she was the apple of God's eye!  -  (reference to Psalm 17:8).  "Even if you were the only human being on  earth, Jesus Christ still would have gone to the Cross of Calvary for  you!" (John 3:16-17).  Jane replied with steadfast assurance, "I know."

As  I can attest to, the sex addict is not the only one who goes through  pain.  Having interviewed, participated, and watched many people in  counseling sessions (female and male alike), who have and are suffering  from the reality of their partner's obsessive-compulsive addictions.  It  becomes readily apparent that pain is a central theme and reality.  

Jane's ex-husband John, was a sex addict himself, who often hired  prostitutes.  He convinced her being the sexual desire and object of  many men, was a compliment.  He would ask Jane while he gloated over,  and counted her money, "I want to know every detail of your day, tell me  everything that happened...step by step.  What you did, and how he  reacted."  He was very excited by the thought that other men, her sex  clients, desired and wanted to pay for the use of his wife's body.   After Jane recounted her time and money, they too had sex.  Which she  stated was, "the only time he got turned on by me anymore." 

I  often recount in my writings about those who pay for sex: "What about  the men and women in porn films and videos.  Or the prostitutes for hire  that you use and abuse?  Do you really think you are their Knight in  shinning armor?  You are a job that inflicts much pain and remorse  within their heart, soul and spirit.  For some within the bondage of  sexual service, suicide is the only answer, while others seek vengeance  and restitution". 

What about the victims of sexual trafficking, who are used, abused, and killed in action?  No  matter the case, cause, or purpose, children more often than not, are  left in the wake of sins betrayal, chaos, lack of love, neglect, and  abuse.  Co-dependent mother's or father's often offer their own children  up as sexual objects for their partners pleasure and sexual  obsessions.  Incest and rape is rampant, as lust and fleshly desires  continue to escalate.  

All done in a twisted plan to keep the  relationship alive and intact.  Thus the cycle of pain, abuse, and  addiction, continues to cycle and span.  Rape, murder, and crimes too  horrific to explain, all play a part in the dark, evil, world of sexual  addiction, obsession  and dysfunction (reference www.xxxhisway.com - as Synthia Esther  reports on sex addicts making the news). 

There  is hope.  There is another way.  You can put a stop to your sexual  lusts, sin, and obsessions.  Like Jane, you can make a different choice,  and with help from Jesus Christ, the bondage breaker, He will see you  through.  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.   What do you prefer?  Shall I come to you with a whip, like you do for  your clients into "fifty shades of grey" sex?  Or in love with a gentle  spirit?  -  1st Corinthians 4:20-21.
